2 years old

I can not believe our little man turned 2 on Thursday. It is so amazing how fast this time has gone. He is such a blessing and we love him so much.

Semi-Wordless Wednesday

Happy Wednesday and thanks for visiting.  O.K. I have to admit I am completely addicted to Pinterest.  It is so much fun and I love all the things I find on there.  The other day, I came across someone's pin on Holly Hobby and some other things I enjoyed as a kid.  Did anyone have these like I did?

Holly Hobby was one of our favorites.

I had both of these. I even had a holly hobby purse, but couldn't find a picture of that.

Of course I loved my Jenny doll. She never had messy hair because I spent hours brushing it.

What girl didn't like strawberry shortcake? I had a little case in the shape of a strawberry that all the dolls fit in. All the dolls had a scent to them too (strawberry, blueberry etc)

 

The hubs and I were just talking about this last week.  My sister and I had hours of fun with this.

Oh in elementary school I had all flavors of this.

Do they still make this.  This was fun too.



  It was such fun walking down memory lane.  Boy did we have fun when we were kids. I hope my son has fun memories like this that he will look back on one day.

Anchors Aweigh Part 1

 It's all about cell phone cases this morning. Are these the cutest Iphone cases or what? They are all from Zazzle Though I love all the adorable preppy monogrammed ones I see out there, these anchor cuties are perfect for this nautical lover this summer. I really like them all, but I have the 4s so I need the larger camera opening.  I think I am deciding between the first few.

I am kind of bummed that these next four don't have the larger camera opening because I would order one for sure. Aren't they cute? I want the pink and the red.

Good News!!

I heard from the doctors office today and all my tests came back normal so it appears I do NOT have lupus. Thank you lord. I do however have a vitamin D deficiency and need to start taking 4000 units of vitamin D right away. I guess my levels were pretty low. I wonder how long this has been going on? Either way I am so happy for the news and glad its not something more serious.

Miscellaneous Monday

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Things were kind of quiet here since it was just the 3 of us, but we had a great day.  The weather over the weekend here in NC was fabulous.  Not a cloud in the sky on Saturday or Sunday.  Since it was so nice I made up a cute table outside and we had Easter dinner out on our deck.  It was wonderful.

Well not much else has been going on here.  I wish I could say we've been going on fun vacations but no. Just our runs back and forth to Illinois right now.  The hubby has been busy working a lot lately, but we may try and squeeze in a weekend to the beach or something.  This last trip home I had the trailer packed.  With us spending more time in NC a girl needs here things right?  I am unpacking and putting things away slowy.  With an almost 2 year old running around, I get too much help unpacking and then all my things end up who knows where in the house (ha-ha).

I better end for now the little one is waking up from his nap.
