This is my final Mackinac Island post I promise. I know lots of pictures but the weather was just perfect I couldn't help but take tons of pictures. If you ever get to go to the island be sure to set some time aside to rent bikes and take the 8 mile ride around the island it is such a pretty ride. Below are some shots along the way.

Mackinac Island Part 3
Warning... Lots of photos.
On Saturday (July 3rd) we got up early to take the Mackinac Island Carriage Tour. We started the first half of the tour in a carriage pulled by 2 horses.

Here is some of the housing for the employees who work at the Grand Hotel.

The Grand Hotel. Isn't it beautiful. We wanted to stay here but since we decided last minute to take this trip the only rooms they had left were $850 a night!! You can stay here cheaper especially when it is not 4th of July weekend.

The Grand Hotel paints the upper part of their balconies blue so it looks like the sky and birds and insects don't nest there.

Some pictures from the carriage.
This is Arch Rock. They stop the tour so you can get out and take some pictures. The views from up here were amazing.

Me and my hubs :-)

The carriage ride also stops at Fort Mackinac if you want to get off here which we did or you can continue and the carriage tour will end in town.
