Are you ready for a picnic?

I wanted to share with you a great mat that I had found a couple of years ago at QVC of all places.

Now we have used this a lot!! On our deck under the little ones pool, for picnics, the beach, fourth of July and other outdoor events. It is nice and big at 6x9 and folds up easily. When laying it in the grass, it is perfect because it gives you a little padding if there are any uneven surfaces. And because it is made of 100% polypropylene, if you need to go to an outdoor event where maybe it just rained, you can put this down and have no worries.  You and your things stay dry. All you have to do is spray a hose on it to clean it. It is so easy.  This year I thought about it and decided to get another one so we could just leave it in our car.  Our other one we used on our deck so much we would have to fold it up everytime we wanted to take it or we would be somewhere and didn't have it. Thank heavens I ordered when I did because they are not going to be selling this one any more.  We have been super happy with the quality of this one and didn't want to try their new version.

Hope you are having a nice weekend so far.

Vera Bradley

Happy Friday everyone.  A few weekends ago, Vera Bradley was having a great sale.  Since my sister is such a huge fan, I decided to pick one up for her for her birthday. (She doesn't read this blog so I am safe). Here is the one I chose for her.

I tried to pick a style and color I didn't think she already had. I haven't been super happy with the patterns this season, but once this arrived I was mad I didn't get myself one.  Much cuter in person than online!!

Hope you all have something fun planned for your weekend.  Still waiting on the hubby, but since the weather is supposed to be nice, we might finally take the little one to the NC Zoo. More on that later.

Have a wonderful relaxing weekend.

Lilly Calendars

I am sure many of you have already heard about the pre-order for the Lilly calendars.  Last year was the first year I purchased one and absolutely love it.  Here is my current calendar.

I like the large agenda option. It is the perfect size and I like the hard cover. How the calendar is organized and laid out just works well for me.  So this year I am definitely ordering one again.  The question now is what pattern to get. There are so many cute ones to choose from.

These are the few that I really like but I am kind of leaning towards the sailboats. I have the summer/nautical bug right now I guess.

Are you getting a Lilly calendar and if so what pattern do you like.?
Happy Thursday,

Linda

Myrtle Beach, SC

Photobucket
A couple of weekends ago we headed to Myrtle Beach, SC for my husbands birthday.  I love that it is only a 3 1/2 drive now.  That sure does beat driving from Illinois.

Once we got to our room, somebody was super excited to see the ocean and the beach.

Our view from our room. Heaven.

Three of the four outdoor pools.

Our little guy LOVED the kiddy pool.

We all went in the lazy river so I don't have any pictures of us.  This was so relaxing. I could have stayed in there all day.

We just got out of the pool and somebody wanted to wear mommy's sunglasses.

Mr. movie star :)

Our hotel.  We stayed at the Hampton Inn Oceanfront. Now this is only my second trip to Myrtle Beach, but we stayed here the first time when I was pregnant with our little guy.  We really like it.  So glad we decided to stay again because the pools were such a big hit with the little guy.

He was super excited to look for shells, but only a few to be had.  Not a good shell time of year I guess.

Saturday evening there was a gorgeous full moon over the ocean.  It couldn't have been more perfect.  Sorry my pictures don't do it justice.

Our little one LOVES the moon and stars and was yelling moon, moon.  It was so cute to see him so excited.

He grabbed my husbands itouch and looked like such a big boy to me here :(  My two year old is growing up.

Mr. movie star returns.  Even though it was dark he did not want to take his sunglasses off.

Somebody is ready for breakfast.  Doesn't everyone bring a shovel to breakfast. (ha-ha)? Hampton Inn has a nice breakfast right at the hotel that is included.  Very convenient with a little one.

They even have a play area as well.

A little bit more shell hunting before we leave.

Oh I didn't want to say goodbye.

Watching daddy put his first kite together.

I ran back to the room for something and noticed my guys walking on the beach.  We were on the 10th floor and I was able to get some really cute shots with my zoom.

One more dip in the pool before checkout.

Lobby view from up at the fitness center.

Fun times in Myrtle Beach :)

A tired little honey on the way home.

Hope you enjoyed our little journey to Myrtle Beach.
