12 month appointment

We took the little one for his 1 year appointment yesterday.  We were a little behind with being in Michigan and all.  He did great.  He decided he was a big boy and walked from the waiting room all the way back to the examining room which is pretty far since the office is so big.  Oh he was so proud of himself.  It was too cute.  We knew we had a big boy on our hands and the doctor confirmed.  He is in the 100% for his height and 97% for weight.  The doctor said he is the height of a 2 year old.  Both sides of our families are tall so he gets it from both of us.  No wonder people are shocked when they ask how old he is and I say he's only 1.  He had to get 2 more shots yesterday too and didn't cry.  It was amazing.  He is growing up so fast.

Wrinkle Free

Last year after having our little one, I quickly realized having the ironing board set up like I used to wasn't going to work.  I came across my little steamer and have LOVED it. 

They are inexpensive and come in several colors. I have this black one and have been really happy with how mine works.  Another nice feature is that the cord retracts right into the unit.

Michigan recap

Good morning!!  As promised, here are a few shots from Michigan.  Kyle had a great time.  Here he is meeting his new cousin Jack.  Oh does he LOVE babies :)

He wasn't lacking for any kisses with aunt Cindy over.

We're Back!

We finally made it home last night.  It feels good to be home and I know the little one is so happy to be back in his bed again.  We have had 2 wonderful weeks in Michigan visiting with the family, but I am so happy to have internet again.  It will take me a while to catch up with you all, but I can't wait to see what you all have been up to.   Once I get myself organized I will post some pictures. Hope all you moms had a wonderful Mothers Day yesterday.

Happy 1st Birthday

Our little one turns 1 year old today.  Happy Birthday Kyle!!!  We are at my parents and had a party on Saturday for him.  It was great to see all my family and catch up. Kyle was so good.  His shirt was a big hit along with the boat shoes.  We all knew that my brother, who is a sailor, would just love these shoes and he sure did.  He is ready to take Kyle out sailing today and is already planning his future to the America's Cup.  Too funny.

Kyle of course has been showing off for his grandparents and has been walking all over the house.  He has been doing more walking than crawling.  It is soooo cute.  We'll be here for a couple of weeks and wonder if he will even crawl at all by the time we get home. He is walking so good and is really getting the hang of this. It is amazing how fast he is changing these days.  So many new things each day.  I think his first molars are starting to come in.  One on top and one on the bottom.  He already has 8 teeth, but these are his first molars.  What a wonderful year this has been watching him grow.  We can't wait to see what the next year brings.  Hope you all had a wonderful Easter.  I will try to catch up with you all as best I can, but being at my parents I have limited internet access :(

Just one more week

I can' believe that a week from today our little one will be a year old already.  Wow has that time gone by fast.  We will be heading to Michigan this week and will be having a little party for him on Saturday.  Since we are doing a nautical theme for his party here is a shirt I found for him at  Cafe Press that I thought was just perfect.
