Oh I am so happy tonight. God is good. My husband and I went up to the nursing home to see my mother in law tonight (She had a severe stroke 12/26/08). I hadn't been up in several days due to the fact I was sick but when we got there today she sang Happy Birthday to me. I almost started crying. My birthday was 12/28 and we couldn't celebrate nor was she able to speak at that time. Her voice is quite soft but I could hear every word. My husband and I couldn't believe it. Day by day she is making progress and we are so happy. She is still working with PT, OT and speech therapy everyday. It is still going to be a long road but for her to just be able to make her needs known is such a relief for her and our entire family. We thank God tonight for his goodness. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers we can't tell you enough how much we appreciate it.
