9 month appointment

Kyle turned 9 months on January 26th, but with the blizzard here in Chicago we had to change his doctor appointment 3 times.  We finally went on Wednesday and he is doing great.  The doctor joked and asked what we are feeding him.  He is so tall the doctor couldn't believe it.  He said with his measurements and percentages he is the size of a 15 month old and he is only 9 1/2 months old.  Crazy.  I was concerned he might be too big, but the doctor said not at all, he is completely proportionate with his weight and height.  He is just a big kid.  The doctor always gives us a print out of what babies are generally doing for 9-10 months but Kyle has already completed all those.  He is doing so good we are so happy.  We have one very easy going,  independent kid on our hands who is very curious.  He is walking all over the house pushing his little activity walker, walks from furniture to furniture with only hanging on by one hand and is already taking 3-4 steps on his own several times a day.  He loves walking out to the kitchen and opening cabinets already.  He also loves to play catch and can throw the ball back and forth, it is so cute.  This kids got a good arm on him.  He already has 8 teeth and doesn't have much interest in baby food any more.  He would much rather have regular food.  He loves giving high fives.  He waves hi and bye and jabbers all the time.  He can say mama and dada and loves when people imitate him especially after he sneezes.  He just belly laughs at that.  He loves giving kisses which I love and is completely obsessed with my eye lashes.  He has to touch them all the time and thinks it is so funny. I feel very blessed that I am able to stay home with him so I am not missing any of this.  I can't believe how fast it is going.

Hope you had a great weekend.
Linda
