Blizzard 2011
What a snow storm!! We haven't been out yet but my husband thinks we got at least 20 inches if not more. We are just a little north of Chicago and all roads in our county are CLOSED!! They have declared it a civil emergency. They said no one is to be on the road without a police escort. I have lived here 11 years and this is the most snow I have ever seen. Here are a few pictures from last night when things started getting bad.

I know they keep talking about the 1999 and the 1979 and the 1967 snows. I can say I do not remember the 1967 but the other two I most definitely do remember.
The expressway near our place was closed but yet we kept seeing people drive on it.
Yikes!
I am rollin' into snowday number 3 (in a row). I am gettin' a touch of cabin fever myself, but have kept busy!
