Michael finds

Happy Monday all,

I have been meaning to post this for a while, but I keep forgetting. When I was in Michigan, my sister and I did a little shopping and one of our stops was Michaels. O.K. if you have been reading my blog for very long you know I LOVE purses/totes so when I spotted these little darlings I knew they were coming home with me.  Aren't these cute and only $1 each.  Gotta love a cute bargain.  Oh and I picked up some pink and green ribbon too.

Weekend Happenings

Busy day Saturday, our little guy turned 10 months old.  I can't believe in just 2 months he is going to turn 1.  We feel so blessed every day.

Then Saturday afternoon we had to drive down to Dixson, IL.   I won't bore you with my husbands details on why we needed to drive here, but lets just say there is not much there.  It is pretty much in corn country.  There is Ronald Reagans boyhood home that we drove by before driving home.

Here was most of the views on our drive yesterday.  I like to take drives and see new things, but this got a little boring after a while.  A country girl I am not.

I think poor Kyle was getting bored too.

Heading back we did travel through Rockford,IL which felt like I was back in civilization again when I  spotted some stores.  I was excited, they had an Old Time Pottery.  Have you ever been to one?  I've been to 2, one in Wilmington, NC and one in Myrtle Beach, SC but didn't know there was one in Illinois.  They have just about everything from lamps and area rugs to glassware and dishes to baskets and flowers.  Kind of  fun to look around.  Stuff is really inexpensive too.  Well when we came out of Old Time Pottery the roads were getting bad due to some snow/ice mixture so it took a while to get home.  Poor little Kyle, his schedule got totally thrown off but he was a little trooper.  Today we just relaxed and tried to get some things done.  Hope you all had a great weekend.
